Stuck in a loop: Received email saying "complete on-screen instructions to unlock," but page only shows permanent suspension banner
Hey everyone,
I really need some advice on a weird loop I'm stuck in with my account u/cruleyalexa1996. My account randomly got hit with a suspension for "violating rules against authenticity." I'm a real person and browse manually, so it was definitely a false positive bot sweep.
I filed an appeal and X Support emailed me back saying: "We decided an overturn of our original decision is not warranted... In order to restore account functionality, you can resolve the violations by logging into your account and completing the on-screen instructions." The problem is, when I log in on my browser (tried desktop mode and clearing cache), there is absolutely no challenge or captcha showing up. My home feed just has a big static banner across it that says: "Your account is suspended... Your account is permanently in read-only mode."
The "on-screen instructions" referenced in the email don't have any buttons, Arkose puzzles, or phone verification requests. Additionally, I kept attempting to resolve it, and now the login screen is displaying a "Too many attempts. Try again in a few minutes" rate limit problem. Has anyone else encountered this particular bug where the system requests that you complete an on-screen challenge but fails to do so? If the automatic appeal forms continue to be denied, how can I end this cycle? Thank you for any guidance!
