I have been waiting patiently since April. I am still probably going to place the actual order in 2 weeks, but. I am a planner.

The last betta I had was a koi plakat female. She developed dragon scale and tumors and it was hella traumatic. I got so attached and I haven't had a fish in a whole year because of how sad it made me. She literally fed off my finger. I know that all might be like. An extreme, but Willow was my freaking baby.

I am going to be ordering through my LFS. They can order pretty much any variety. I have shrimpies now, but a LOT of plant coverage. Additionally, there's 10 gallons but with the substrate and the fact that I leave an inch for space and the filter and the heater and the plants, probably 8 gallons of water in here (that's about how much it takes to fill when I do water changes anyway.)

So I am thinking a solid colored dude, the least inbred the better. Very likely a blue or purple or red veiltail? Or another long finned probably because I have less than 10 gallons, and shrimp, so I am hoping for a slower swimmer and plakats are more active and hyper. What are your suggestions??

Ps right now I have snail leeches. They are leaving my snails and shrimp alone and swimming right past them. There are species that only feed off of injured types. Online SAYS it's safe for bettas to be in there BUT THEY FREAK ME OUT so I have traps coming in today and I am getting them out TONIGHT coz no thank you very much 🙅🏻‍♀️

Help me decide what betta to order!
