Applying for a visitor visa to go back to Canada and wait for my PR to be processed.

Hi all, I hope you’re doing well. I have a question with regards to getting a visitor visa to go to Canada. 

I have applied for PR on Jan 28th, but it is taking a really long time. People that applied after me have already gotten their COPR while I have heard nothing beyond biometrics. This is really driving me crazy so I want to go back to Canada on a visitor pass and wait there by submitting a change of address to a Canadian address and do the P1/P2 route instead of PPR as opposed to here. 

I wanted to know if anyone has done this before? My lawyer says that it doesn’t carry a high chance of success but I want to know if others here have done this or not. Those that have, can you let me know what you did?

Also what do I need to submit along with the application to ensure I get accepted?
