Rights of refusal regarding quality of vehicle repair

Scotland

Hello, I have recently had my rear quarter panel and bumper clipped and ripped by a gentleman in a box van who admitted he wasn’t paying attention when he was looking for the house number for his delivery. My car was parked and unoccupied, it was parked perfectly legally in front of my girlfriend’s house the morning of the incident. I live in Scotland if that is relevant, the car has now been recovered and due process has started I am awaiting a repair estimate and approval for the order of parts so I know my car will not be written off however I am quite familiar with the garage my car will be being repaired at and let’s just say their reputation for quality of work is less than stellar. This car has been my absolute baby for the last 4 years, it’s been maintained meticulously and I was preparing to sell it on and upgrade in the next few weeks however with this incident that may have to get put on hold. Basically my question is what are my rights in terms of refusal if the repair isn’t up to par? Am I able to claim anything back in lost value since the car will now have a recorded accident history and this will certainly impact resale value? I just feel like even tho the other parties insurance will cover the repair and my hire vehicle I will still be losing a significant chunk of money in terms of the value of the car. Thanks in advance : )
