Is the Xteink e-reader a good buy if I only sideload EPUBs?

I'm tempted to buy the Xteink e-reader while it's on sale. My current e-reader is 13 years old and it's sort of dying, so I am in need of an replacement.

My needs are relatively basic: I don't use subscriptions or Amazon ( Amazon doesn't even operate where I live technically ). I just buy individual .epub files from bookstores and upload them via USB.

My only hesitations are the lack of a frontlight and the overall longevity of the device.
