New here! Open to any advice!

General

Hi everyone! I am new to this sub as I have just started undergoing the process of getting professional support for PMDD.

I am 25 and 2 years ago was diagnosed with ADHD.
I’ve had mental health struggles on and off for most of my life now realised the ‘on’ periods where during my luteal phase and the ‘off’ periods where all the other times 😅.
I guess I’m just coming on here to say hi and ask if anyone has any advice for navigating this time.

I’ve been through some tough times in my life and I’ve finally started EMDR therapy for that, got diagnosed with ADHD and now tackling this PMDD thing. It all feels quite overwhelming and very sudden but I’m finally starting to get myself sorted which is exciting.

If anyone has any advice for anything at all I’d love to hear it! I’ve been doing some of my own research but since it’s very hard to find stuff online I thought I’d come here for real life experience support.

In a weird way I’m excited for this journey because I have suffered so severely for so long and finally putting a name to what I thought was me being ‘crazy’ feels optimistic.

So yes! Any advice in anything would be amazing!
Specific advice I’d love to hear is about:

Managing university studies
Managing relationships (my partner is also a female so specifically queer advice)
Anything that has helped you in your luteal phase
Anything to do with post period migraines
Ovulation PMDD symptoms

thanks everyone!
