1st gen Maxwells with WC Freeze Earpads Question

Hello! Today I've replaced the earpads after 2 years. However, while I waited for them to arrive I've been using a pair of IEMs (ew300 + jm6 pro dac) and it made me realise just how quiet my Maxwells have been all this time, and I don't know if this is normal, so I'm looking for other people's experiences.

I've been using the IEMs at 6-8% windows volume and they're loud, very loud in fact.

On the Maxwells, I've been usually using it at 70-80% volume, raised them at 90% and they still sound pretty quiet, anything above 90% sounds distorted.

I've also tried a pair of G Pro's and HyperX Cloud2+Cloud3 and the Maxwells are quieter compared to them. All 3 headsets are loud after ~60-65%.

I'm using the latest Audeze Software version, same with the headset+dongle firmware.

Is there anything I could do?

The volume did not change with the new earpads, it isnt lower because of them.

The two fixes i've tried after searching for other people with this problem were the following:

- Turning the volume wheel until Windows Volume is 0, turning the volume limiter in the app on then off and raising the volume wheel again.

- Raising the volume wheel past 100% in windows until the headset made a sound highlighting it's internal max volume has been reached
