Need advice about brakes.
I have a VW Jetta Comfortline 1.4ltr automatic, 2019 model.
I have owned it since 2021, bought it at 35,000 KMs on it at that time.
Now the total KMs is 106,000KMs.
I understand that at this stage of this car's life i need to get the rotors & brake pads replaced. Till date I never got any of that replaced, I only got it serviced once at 100,000 KMs and that's it.
So, my question is
-
Which rotors & brake pads are good for this car in terms of longevity, reliability, cost, etc? Should I buy the original from a VW dealership or OEM like Akebono, Bosch etc?
-
Should I replace all 4 rotors & PADs?
This is my personal & only car. I drive on highway almost 6 days a week at 100-130KM/hr.
The weather I drive in is - Ontario, Canada.
Also, What other services will you recommend at this stage of this car's life? I replaced spark plugs at 85,000KMs.
Thank you all for your help.
