My experience with Miele WQ 1000 WPS Nova Edition and Miele TQ 1000 WP Nova Edition
I feel I have to share my story. I bought a Miele WQ 1000 WPS Nova Edition and a Miele TQ 1000 WP Nova Edition. I'd just moved into a new house, so I figured I'd upgrade my laundry situation. That's £6,000 spent on what I assumed to be best-in-class appliances.
The tumble-dryer refused to connect to the app. And after jumping through many hoops with Miele support, it had to be replaced. Yep, that's right, the whole machine replaced! They are completely clueless about networks and networking, something I'm an expert at, so it was obvious they were just reading a script and had no idea.
Then after 10 days the washing machine faulted too, claiming it was leaking (F373 - Leak on Drain Filter). It wasn't. I waited 7 days for a Miele engineer to come and look at it. He couldn't work out what the problem was, but managed to reset the machine.
10 days later. I get the same fault. Another 10 days pass waiting for a Miele engineer to come out (by this time my statutory right to return the machine expired), he comes out, can't work out what the problem is, but resets it and orders a new control board.
It dies the next day. Another 10 days of waiting for the next engineer to come and replace the control board. He comes, fits the board, does a 20 minute test wash, claims its fixed (even though nobody has identified the root cause of the problem, so he can't possibly know that). As he is driving away from my house, I put some towels in to wash, it dies.
Exact same fault: F373.
I am typing this whilst on yet another call to Miele to try and get them to replace a machine that they have no idea what fault it has. They refuse to replace the machine and have done on every call I've made.
They want to send out another engineer!
I am stuck in the worst version of Groundhog Day ever. In the past 8 weeks, the washing machine has been functional for two of them, maybe three at a push.
I have now had to start legal proceedings against Miele to get my money back, because they will not replace a machine until it is deemed "beyond economical repair". Which can only be judged by the service engineer, yet when I asked the service engineer about that, he said they're not allow to sign it off as "beyond economical repair". This is a scam. And one that apparently will only end 10 years from now when the warranty runs out and they stop sending engineers completely.
I hate Miele. They are not best in class. Their products are obviously manufactured poorly. Their service is disgraceful. I will never buy from them ever again.
