I've got a small recurring problem and I'm hoping someone here likes a puzzle.

This is a white molded plastic connector from an above-ground pool (Lomart/Embassy

steel-wall style). It joins two curved top rails over an upright. It's discontinued,

not sold anywhere anymore, and I've confirmed that. I don't want a new pool, mine is

fine, I just need this one part.

These break every so often, so this isn't a one-off. I make 10 or 15 of them every

couple of years, which is exactly why printing my own makes sense.

I tried modeling it myself but I can't get the hang of 3D parts modeling in CAD. I

also tried an AI tool and it confidently produced a part that looked like the stock

photos online, not the actual piece in my hand. So I'm coming to real people.

What I have to work with:

\- The broken part in hand (only the tip is broken, the rest is intact)

\- A set of calipers, so I can measure anything you ask for, to whatever precision

\- Photos of an intact example (attached)

What I'm hoping for is a printable model (STL is great, but a parametric file like

STEP or an editable CAD source would be ideal so I can tweak the fit). I'd want to

print a test in PLA to check fit, then run the real ones in PETG.

I'm not asking anyone to do it for free, I'd be happy to discuss paying for the work.

But if someone just wants to take it on as a fun reverse-engineering challenge, I'm

all for that too. :)

Happy to provide more photos, a video, more measurements, a reference scale next to

the part, whatever helps. Just tell me what you need.

I am also not opposed to someone finding the part drawings as well. I have googled and tried for about 10 hours at this point, but who knows what the internet can do!

Thanks!

Reverse-engineering challenge: white plastic pool rail connector, no longer made, I have the broken part + calipers
