Is the version on PlayStation Plus that just released broken?

Don't get me wrong, I was able to play the whole game and had a good time, but it felt like it kept being weird. Not in the way rhythm games usually are on modern consoles with weird delays, but stuff like holding a direction just randomly dropping, or the wavy lines, which I was told you could just hold and it would auto do it, but I lose my line pretty much every time one of those appears. Again, perfectly playable, but just curious if I just suck or if this port has known issues already.
