My senior/manager is leaving and my other 2 managers are saying this is an opportunity for me?

I'm a staff looking to be a senior and this honestly feels like destiny/fate.

I love where I work honestly.

Anyway they both called me and told me what was going on. They want to transition his duties to me and mentor me until I can fully take over.

Stuff like quarterly and annual reports for the NAIC and many many new to me stuff.

I want to take the next step and I told them I'm ready to help as much as I can.
