Is my 2021 FXBBS experiencing a sumping problem?
I was going around 80mph at ~3050 rpm sustained for about 70 miles. All of a sudden, my bike loses power. I pull in the clutch, try to give it some throttle and It almost sounded like it was bogging down. Like, life was there but it was being limited. When i looked down my gauge cluster was flashing the Oil light and the check Engine light. I pulled over to the side of the road, and waited about 30 seconds and checked the oil(i was trying to find my rag but apparently i forgot it...sorry to my shirt). The oil was MAYBE a millimeter above the bottom of the dipstick. I put it back in, checked again, and same thing. I decided to check if my check engine light was still there so i turn the bike on and saw no more lights and made the decision to ride 4 miles to a walmart and put some oil in it. I ended up putting a quart of oil in the bike and ended up riding it back home ~70 miles without any issues.
Did my bike freak out from some kind of low oil alarm or did i experience a sumping issue? I plan on changing my oil before i ride it again but i'm worried it's a deeper issue. Of course this happens 1 month before i leave to Sturgis....
