We shipped a local encrypted vault, a Unix socket daemon, and a secret proxy for the 1Claw CLI. Your agent can call APIs with your keys without the key ever entering the context window.

I have a confession. I paste API keys into Claude and Cursor all the time. I know better, I built an entire company around knowing better, and yet there I am at 1 a.m. debugging an agent, and the fastest path is the wrong one: copy the key, paste it into chat, move on.

The cloud vault fixes this for production. But the gap was always the laptop — the part where you're iterating locally, the agent needs a key, and the quickest thing to do is the dumbest thing to do. Today we shipped the fix.
