The music played in the complex seems to be connected to the still lifes, and I seriously don’t think it’s a coincidence that when Ravi wasn’t under attack, the speakers were playing weird but calm ambient music. But (seemingly) as soon as an aggressive still life decides to attack him, the music changes to the absolute jam that is “Do you like air conditioning,” a fast-paced, panic-inducing song.

Both of these tracks are almost certainly backrooms original music, and I personally think that the Still Life was already sprinting towards Ravi’s location as soon as the music changed (had it been stalking him?).

To me, the fact that there’s dynamic music that can shift based on (seemingly?) the current actions of the Still Life in the area says that either the environment itself is alive and changing the music on purpose, possibly for shits and giggles, or that the Still Lifes, for whatever reason, are connected to the speakers and the music they produce.

Thoughts?

Feel free to correct me if I got anything wrong or if you just happen to disagree, this is the theory of a very casual fan, though I still adore this version of the backrooms

I think the speakers throughout the complex that play music are either evidence that the backrooms itself is alive, or the still life, for whatever reason, are connected to the music they produce
