Just got caught up, anyone else not liking the heavy focus on action and fight scenes in S9? May be an unpopular opinion.
I don’t have Cartoon Network (thanks Xfinity!) so I just now got caught up while I’m traveling on S9. I was kind of shocked at how different this season feels. I’m not an action person, but I haven’t minded the fight scenes in earlier seasons because they weren’t constant and long. I mostly enjoy the show for the weird and bizarre sci-fi humor and scenarios, and especially the lore or canon episodes as I call them (Rick Prime arc, Evil Morty arc, Rick’s character development, etc).
For S9 I’m alittle disappointed at how almost every episode has this crazy grand fight scene that almost feels like anime style? I’m not really sure how to explain it, but it just feels so different to me and I’m just not enjoying how constant it is. I’m going to keep watching the show, but something about it feels like I’m watching an entirely different version of this series in S9.
Does anyone else feel this way? I hate to say this but if these fight and action focused episodes continue I’ll probably end up losing interest at some point. The Ted episode was more my speed and is my favorite of them so far. Episode 3 I got legitimately bored with the whole fight toward the end and just could not keep my focus.
