Netflix shuts off my monitor, can't watch anything.

It started with black screens that lasted a second or two, but the last time I tried to watch a movie my monitor shut-down immediately after logging in and reaching the browsing page. I was forced to shut down my pc like a savage, risking my computer's integrity.

I tried with Hardware Acceleration turned off, but it's still giving me black screens.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I know it's been happening to people for years, but no one is agreeing on a solution. I'm too scared to log on and cancel my membership even, as I don't want to risk damaging my PC with a forced shut-down.
