Gift ideas for internship company/mentors
My internship has been amazingly good to me - they’ve treated me to every meal, booked housing and transportation, and have taught me so much while not asking me to pitch in since I’m still early in my learning journey (it feels like every task I’m given is solely for my own benefit). This is on top of the fact that they’ve been so accommodating of the fact that I’m speaking my second language, which I’m not perfectly fluent in, so they’ve reexplained things to me and waited patiently while I stumbled through sentences.
I want to get gifts for all my mentors and others who helped me at the company. I’m just not sure how to go about it since I’m currently still at said internship and everything I can buy is easily accessible to them as well. Should I wait until afterwards and then send a package? Should I write letters to everyone even though I’m nearly illiterate in my second language? Looking for advice since I don’t have a personal connection with every person I want to thank but want to thank them regardless, and I’m not sure if I should gift food since it’s a food related company. I tried sussing out what they’d like but all I got was that they want to see me appreciating their efforts 😅 I considered asking the manager to let me treat everyone to a fancy meal, but I’m fairly certain that would either be infeasible or straight up rejected since they’re treating me like a guest.
Any advice would be appreciated!
