New to Invisalign (1 Week in)

Treatment Start

35 year old male, who hates the dentist or anything mouth related due to bad experiences as a kid. I’m the type that loses sleep over the anticipation of an appointment let alone the orthodontist.

I grind my teeth due to stress and I’m sure nail biting doesn’t help either. I’ve damaged my teeth over the years and the worry is for 10-15 years from now, along with correcting an overbite.

However, 1 week into my 24 month Invisalign journey, I’m relieved to know it’s not that bad. The most uncomfortable part for me is getting used to the minor lisp, or not having the liners in and feeling the anchors touch your other teeth.

Not as scary as I thought. Especially getting the anchors applied in the ortho office.

Surrendered to the process.

I hope this can help someone who is aimlessly looking for some relief prior to their appointment or journey.

Our minds are truly worse at worrying than the whole process is (thus far).

Prioritize your oral health now, so you don’t have to pay the financial and painful cost later.

YOU can do this.
