2019 Touring no data over USB

Heya, second post about this (since the last one got ignored after a few days). We’ve got a problem with the front USB ports - there’s no data over them. Charges our phones fine, but neither CarPlay, Android auto or flash drives would work. We’ve checked all the fuses, including the ones near the engine. There’s no debris, we literally did all the possible troubleshooting that we could fine online, except hooking up a computer to read for errors and such. I think the USB ports might’ve been disconnected from the head unit, but I do not wanna tinker with the head unit nor am allowed to. I would really appreciate your tips for troubleshooting and ideas why it won’t work.
