Pole pruner blade pitch recommendation?

I have a lot of trees on my 10 acre property that I want to trim up. A lot of dogwoods, an eastern white pine, a few sassafras, and about ten eastern red cedars - all of these sprung up on their own in what used to be farm land. There are oaks and others in more thickly wooded areas on the perimeters of our land that I do not plan to trim.

I have an MSA220 chainsaw that I've been using to cut up some dogwoods that died. It has a 3/8" pitch and has been performing the job well. I'm wondering whether I should also choose a pole pruner with 3/8" pitch. My understanding is that 3/8" pitch will work better for hardwoods like the dogwoods. While it might not matter much for small limbs, I might need to cut some thicker branches.

I want to stick with the AP battery platform. A local dealer has a HT86 on a tempting discount, but it's a 1/4" pitch. I'm thinking I should spend the extra and get an HT135 (3/8").
