Wissahickon trail

Hey everyone, quick question. Has anyone ever gone down the trail across the street from the wissahickon transportation station? If so is it beginner friendly? I want to start exploring the trails in philly to become more active and this one looked so pretty from a glance. Any tips and advice are welcome. Even people who want to walk the trail with me would be great. Im thinking this sunday?
