Can I still be paid?

I got a letter in the mail about a settlement with a company I worked for years ago. They’re asking for my social security number and other information, but I want to know if I can still submit it and get paid if my work permit has expired and I’m still waiting for my renewal application to be approved. Been waiting since January.
