Pride Flags in DC

I’d expect this to generate some serious feedback, but I have a question about the proliferation of pride flags in DC. I’m a supporter of pride month and people who make it special; however, isn’t the idea of the rainbow flag to capture the entire spectrum of movements?

At this point, I see so many different flags, colors, and symbols, which makes it hard to keep things straight (no pun intended). Does this risk clouding the movement for inclusion, or should every unique circumstance get its own flag?

I know views will vary widely across the straight, gay, lesbian, and other communities. Looking forward to thoughtful responses (as well as some snarky ones) from the DC community.
