I believe the east is going to be better and more competitive than west next year.
I think the bulls, hornets, heat and even wizards are going to get over 38+ wins next year.
Bulls - Giddy + Claxton + top 4 pick are going to make some noise next year. We already saw a flash of this when they started the season 5-0. But I think they finally put it together this year and make either play in or playoff.
Hornets - Melo + Miller + Kon are only going to get better and gain more chemistry. That’s a very SKILLED trio and we saw it toward the end of last season where they went on a tear. In my opinion i think they are one move away from being a top 5 team in the league. But either way i predict they are going to be make into the top 6 of the east.
Wizards - now this is debatable, but one thing you can’t deny is that this team has will have so much talent on their roster you would SHOCKED if they didn’t at least be a play in team. AD + Trae Young + 1 pick + Alex Sarr.
Heat - Giannis Antetokounmpo + Bam + Andrew Wiggins is one hell of a trio. They have a gritty defensive squad with the former finals MVP. If this team is healthy, they should easily be a top five seat in my opinion.
Now we know obviously that the Knicks, Boston and Detroit are going to be good next year…. But that still leaves teams like Raptors, Sixers, Orlando, Atlanta and Pacers with a returning Halliburton who are going to be really solid teams next year as well.
It’s possibly that next year 3rd -10th seed could 1-3 games apart .
