Eye of Eden / PNR

So um, about the Eye of Eden- I've turned away from the pnr twice now bc I'm scared. I can't find any resources to tell me what happens after. I heard that you lose all your wl? I just wanna know how much of ur progress gets reset or wtvr, like do you lose your candles too? I also heard you die? I'm rlly lost and I've just been trying to do as much stuff as possible before going in, but should I just do it?
