AITAH for cheating on my boyfriend but he chokes me after?

I (21 F) am dating Greg (22 M). We have been dating for 6 months. I have a ex boyfriend a few months younger than me, Peyton (21 M). We dated 2 years ago, but he’s still in our friend group. At least twice a week Greg would bring Peyton along with us. We were constantly put together by him. Tonight me and Greg went to a friend’s house. Of course Peyton was there, and we ended up going driving to his house to talk.
Yes that was wrong i know. However i’ve always had strong feelings about Peyton. That type of feeling that just never goes away, so i acted on instinct.
Anyways we ended up kissing and continuing to talk. Greg somehow finds out that we are at Peyton’s house and confronts us. He slaps Peyton. I stood in between them to try to back Greg up and he full force chokes me. I told him that it hurt but he continued. After things settle a bit me and Greg go to his car so he can take me home. Before we get in I try to hug him because he’s obviously upset, and before i could even get my hands up he firmly grabs my wrist and slams them down. I tried to step closer to him and he chokes me AGAIN.
I know i’m wrong, and i took accountability. He refuses to do anything but give excuses. He apologized after I had to bring it up but follows it saying I just really pissed him off and that i was “in his way”. He left bruises on me. I just feel like it could have only go downhill from there. I feel like i dodged a bullet a little bit. I understand that my actions were wrong but he seems to be brushing past his. so is my boyfriend TAH for choking me after i cheated?
