5 day window for faults

I got my keys on friday just gone (woohoo) and ive been in and out over the past 4 days stripping walls etc. My solicitor said to check everything was working etc but I have found one of my french doors won't open. It is jammed. Is this something I can report or does this sort of thing not count? I have emailed anyway but wasnt sure what you can claim for and what you can't.
