how is living in Centre street NW look like?

I am planning to rent a house near Thorncliffe and Centre street. Looks pretty accessible but the houses and neighborhood kinda look sketchy for me, which probably is because of the old houses.

Will there be any homeless or theft issues around that area? Need some opinions, please
