What does Benizia do at the during the fight

I have played through the trilogy probably a dozen plus times but can never work out what she does to tire herself on noveria.

I'm guessing in the opening cutscene she uses stasis as otherwise can't understand why Shepard looks unfazed. But then the only thing I can tell she does is use biotic to open automatic doors. So what is tiring her to the point she can b rak the indoctrination briefly
