Good afternoon to you,M31 Gamer
Hey there. I'm a 31-year-old 5'11 guy originally from Massachusetts, and I've been living in Northeast Florida for the past few years. I work for a construction supply company and enjoy a multitude of things, like nature walks in cool, scenic spots, and documentaries spanning various topics like history, aliens, sociology, wars, and current events. I also enjoy bowling, shooting at the range, video games(steam), theme parks, zoos, and music.
I used to volunteer for a few different groups focused on helping and feeding the homeless. I also went to school briefly, taking general psychology and social work courses. I wanted to become a substance abuse counselor, but I wasn't the best in an academic setting. Plus, having a few people in my life lose their battle with addiction and it burnt me out on the subject. I realized I was better off working. I used to do catering events as well, like weddings, graduations, and parties, but I haven't done that in some time.
I also hate how much smart phones and apps have ruined society and have affected how people interact with one another. Seems like we are becoming more cyborg ish daily without the neuralink chip even in us yet lol. I try not to harp on it but the world is so different and not for the better compared to when i was like 15-16. Feels like we got ripped off or a taste of the old world before getting it rug pulled for whatever this new age ish is.
I'm on steam and like souls likes, mil sims, survival games and some other shooters. I used to host a console day z server and met many interesting people from the U.S and Europe mainly. Ever since i got burnt out from that i haven't met any new gamers in quite some time tbh. Def open to grabbing a game that's not my typical cup of tea, especially if it's on sale.
I'm definitely introverted and got the INFJ personality type on Myers-Briggs. Although I don't put much stock in it, I'm also an Aries, if that matters at all. I get life happens and people get busy but i've noticed the trend on here where people ghost after a day or two,no shade to you if you do that but please don't message me if you have a tendency to do that(not saying your a bad person, just don't want time wasted) i get some people sometimes just look for conversation to pass the time on a boring night but that's not what i'm looking for.
I guess, above all else, I'm looking for a friend. I could literally just game with them long-distance and get to know each other slowly. I'm shy at first, but once I'm comfortable with you, it's hard for me not to wear my heart on my sleeve. I prided myself on being a lone wolf to the point that it was detrimental. At the end of the day, we all have Maslow's hierarchy of needs, and I know I can't expect anything to happen if I don't put myself out there at all.
If you've read this far, thanks. Even if you don't think we'd click or don't message me, I hope you have a good day.
