Am I the only one who thought Rosie and Bubba came across as surprisingly genuine?

Discussion

I just finished listening to the Rosie and Bubba episode, and it was really interesting to hear them talk openly about their experience and POV.

I get that one of the main reasons for them to agree to be on the pod is trying to stop all the hate after the documentary was released, but their answers seemed genuine to me, tbh.

Obviously the only ones who know what really happened that night are Mackenzie (bye), Dominic and Davion, but it really felt like they were telling their truth.

Also, this episode made me terrified of being part of a documentary (irrational fear, bc what are the chances?). I was already aware that the producers really go hard on the editing to frame people to fit a certain image, and in reality TV I guess is not that deep, but in serious cases like this…

Again, obviously none of us can confirm or deny that what they said was the objective truth (not even Steph, despite cross-checking the facts), but I found it really interesting.

I’m curious to hear what others thought about this interview. Did it change how you see Rosie and Bubba? And more generally, how much do you trust documentaries to be true to the people they show?
