What kind of memory leak are you guys talking about? Genuine question...

I’ve been checking VRAM usage lately since a lot of people have been reporting a memory leak in the game, but so far I haven’t found anything that supports that theory, at least not on my PC.

I’m using a Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT NITRO+ (yes, the one with the melting connector... lol), and I always keep everything fully up to date: driver version 26.6.2 WHQL at the moment, latest game version, etc. Also, please ignore the temps, my PC is in a warm room without AC, with ambient temps around 28–30c, so that explains the higher numbers.

During my own testing, VRAM usage stayed around 12–12.5GB on the Extreme preset, no RT, with FSR 4.1 Quality (960p to 1440p). You can check the screenshot: I played for 82 minutes straight in this session and VRAM usage remained in that same range the whole time. Most of the session was spent in online Spec Racing, with a little free roam in between.

I also saw someone mention that Photo Mode can trigger the VRAM leak, but I used it to capture 2–3 new cars during this session and didn’t notice anything unusual afterward.

So if there really is a memory leak, as many players are claiming, why doesn’t it affect all of us? Are there specific settings, modes, or activities that actually trigger it?
