Coconut oil + antibacterial essential oils
Just wanted to share something that dependably helps me wake up with better breath the next morning.
Twoish spoonfuls of coconut oil and 2-4 drops of uncle harry's tooth and gum elixer sold at most wellness stores. I don't think it matters the product, I think it's either the clove or oregano oil or the combination that is making a difference.
I take it like you would cough medicine in a spoon, but without swallowing. I swish until I get tired of it. Sometimes for a full hour if I have nothing to do. But sometimes only for like 10 minutes. Make sure to kind of gargle with it every once in a while so it coats the back tonsil area.
I've noticed that sometimes if I brush my teeth *before* swishing, and only spit and not rinse after oil pulling, that sometimes it makes my breath not smell for a really long time. But sometimes it's like the bacteria or whatever gets used to that and my breath gets bad fast again. When that happens I go back to swishing first then brushing after spitting it out.
Oil pulling alone without the essential oils does not work in making my bad breath stay away. The essential oils are necessary.
Sometimes if I am in a hurry I will use the coconut oil like a mouthwash and add a couple more drops of essential oil than I do with regular swishing. It's a bit unbearable and it makes your nostrils and tongue tingle, so be careful not to do it too long or you will get a chemical burn.
The coconut oil is also necessary because it penetrates into the mouth tissue because it's a fat, and keeps the essential oil from burning you. Just water and essential oils won't be as effective, I believe.
Also on another note flossing makes a difference always make sure youre doing it at LEAST twice or three times a week whenever youre just sitting around. Get used to doing it every once in a while rather than doing it every day and then giving up.
