Save Kolkata's Trams: Petition for a Tram Revival & Modernization Plan

Recent discussions regarding the revival of Kolkata's tram network have given many of us hope.

I have started a petition urging the Government of West Bengal to:

• Publish a Tram Revival & Modernization White Paper

• Protect remaining tram infrastructure

• Restore key tram routes

• Introduce modern low-floor AC electric trams

• Integrate trams with Metro, buses, ferries and suburban rail

• Explore tram/light rail systems in Asansol, Durgapur, Siliguri, Kalyani and New Town
