Life changes led me to taking my driving test and I’m nervous
To start, I’m 29, and took drivers training in high school and got my permit but that was it. I usually take Uber or Lyft now to get to and from places, but recently I had a family emergency and was away from home and had to wait for a driver to show up. That was the deciding moment.
Here’s the thing: I have a (metaphorical and maybe even mental) lead foot. I briefly (and I do mean briefly) drove a forklift at a previous job but that also made me nervous (especially around expensive equipment and stock and such). I know I can’t be the only one who felt/feels like this and was looking for advice as I plan to take the road test eventually (within the next month) and just need to get over the anxiety of it all.
