SteelSeries Aerox 9 Wireless WoW Edition broke after a year - SteelSeries support refuse to refund me
Hi there,
I bought a Steelseries Aerox 9 Wireless (the WoW Edition) last year. I was very happy with the mouse as it felt really smooth in my hands. Unfortunately, the right click button is completely busted after a year. It gets stuck, clicks automatically on my PC even though I did not press the mouse at all (due to the button being stuck). I can't game with it anymore due to the right click button.
I ordered it on the Steelseries website a year ago. I created a support ticket and explained the situation. First they told me to uninstall and install my dirvers even though its a hardware problem (wtf?). After that, I was told they could not repari the device or proovide the exact replacement, only the original Aerox 9 wireless. With all respect, I really do not like the look of the Aerox 9, so I denied that option. They offered me a voucher, but I honestly just want a refund, I don't want another Steelseries product if they bust after a year.
So I asked for the refund and they denied it. I am from the EU where sellers are obliged to offer a 2 year warranty and in the case of not being able to repair or replace it, the seller must refund you through the original method of payment.
I told them this but they simply chose to ignore it. I filed a complaint with the European Union consumer protect for my country and I am awaiting their response.
Just wanted to let you know of my situation. If you can give me advice or if someone else went through the same process, please let me know.
Thanks!
