Okay, uhm, im new to reddit and decided to post on here, any tips?

I really just want to get started off as smoothly as i can, as i've heard many good things about this place and the people on it.

now im just rambling, uhh, do you guys have any tips? miscellaneous, really. i think that the people on this sub will provide very reliable answers, and sorry if i come off as disrespectful or overzealous. and i skimmed da rules, i think this isnt a common question. now im praying this goes through.
