Skitarii Feels Weaker Than Other Classes

I've noticed that compared to the other classes I use and Skitarii, Skitarii has some very significant downsides that makes them not worthwhile. At best I can complete runs on Uprising with them, and even then that's a stretch.

What I've noticed is that compared to the dozens of weapons I have for other classes, Skitarii only has two, the arc maul and galvanic rifle. Furthermore, while other classes start with 30 skill points and filled out weapon masteries, Skitarii starts with only none and no masteries. I find this very confusing and I hope fatshark buffs it over time, maybe within the next dozen or so missions I play.
