Remote Application Pause

I recently received an email from my recruiter stating they were pausing the recruitment of remote applicants. Im applying for a paramedic role in the reserves in Vancouver. When I started my application, I was in Kamloops BC for school, and transferred to UBC for the remaining years so I could join the reserve unit. I informed my recruiter of this and provided them with proof of my acceptance to UBC. Ive completed most of my requirements, including medical, fitness, interview, and gambit. Will I still be considered a remote applicant once I move in the fall?

This could also be in relation to my dual citizenship with the US, but that seems unlikely as my recruiter said remote rather than foreign.
