AITAH for not wanting my gf to be friends with a guy who confessed or tried to get w her before?

So me and my gf had a hypothetical discussion about how we would deal with people who confessed their feelings before we started dating or after doesn't rly matter as long as the person didn't know we were dating. I personally believe that it is disrespectful to the relationship to stay as good friends with someone who clearly attempted to push the boundaries of a friendship and had deep thoughts about my partner. I trust her completely and I believe she can talk to any guy she wants as she is entitled to her own social life so I don't control her in terms of guy friends. shes always super transparent sets clear boundaries and updates me about anything even when weird things happen even when i didnt ask her to, I rly appreciate that part. But being good friends with someone who clearly had further intentions with her just feels off to me like it feels like its against my values. On the other hand, my gf does not see an issue in that and believes that its a matter of trust which to some degree i agree if i trust her fully nothing will happen. But i personally think this is a matter of respect as why bring in an additional admirer to the relationship. I think loyalty doesnt always equal respect for the relationship. She says she doesnt understand how this can be seen as disrespectful and said shooting their shot is not wrong and shouldnt have consequences. I agree about consequences part but how would it be not disrespectful when u are friends with someone who clearly wanted more from u and u have a partner that feels uncomfortable about that. Am i the crazy one here im struggling to understand her perspective i rly am trying to but i cant. In an ideal and perfect relationship, sure. with full trust nothing happens but what i feel here is not that i think she would make the wrong choice but that shes choosing to give attention to another man who clearly were and maybe still is not satisfied w just being friends. Isnt it respectful to take precautions and try to protect the relationship? She genuinely struggled to understand how this is disrespectful and thought it was a bit controlling.

Just to clarify sure i do get jealous but i never stopped her from talking to her guy friends or discouraged her cuz in the end its up to her to choose me and i trust her to do that. its just this specific scenario that was bothering me. am i really in the wrong here and would this just be a fundamental incompatibility.
