Squirrel jumped on me randomly. Chance of rabies?

Physician Responded

Hi! I was sitting in an outside cafe in Berlin, Germany - when I saw a squirrel running towards me randomly and jumping on me. I panicked and got up immediately. He left 2 scratches on my hand. Not bleeding actively, but it is like a red scratch. I know squirrels are not common rabies carriers, but I am just very confused and suspicious of his behavior. Like why did it just randomly run towards me and jump on me. It all happened in a milisecond and I didn’t even get a good look of him. I’m just super scared of rabies, and wanted to know if there is any risk, or if this behavior of a squirrel is considered aggresive? Thank you in advance.

I got a Tetanus shot today, just wondering if I should also get a rabies shot just in case?
