Getting rent back after being asked to leave (UK)

Hey all,

Just posting this on here - as I have no one else to ask.

So, we were in the process of buying a house, which kept being delayed by the third chain.

Stupidly told landlord as we were given a date to move.

Anyway, exchange dates came and went and we let new tenants come round to view the property.

We gave a new completion date and werr told we couldn't extend it as she had a tendency lined up for the day we left, so we had to leave no matter what.

Where do I stand on getting my two weeks' rent back? Yes, it was us that wanted to go but she forced our hand and ended the tenancy there and then.

Five years of perfect rent, left the house immaculate (cleaned, hoovered, carpet cleaned the lot) and she is also trying to take money off us for weeds in the garden....
