¿Did Nakamura cast a spell on Hirose?

Hi, I'm a huge fan of Ganbare Nakamura. I love the characters and the comedy plot, but something in episode 4 has been bothering me. When Reiko gave Nakamura that strange liquid, Hirose started getting closer to him, and then, to top it all off, during the play, Reiko gives Nakamura a rosary, and Nakamura and Hirose are together again. Please, someone explain this to me if I'm wrong. It would be awful if that bond were forced by witchcraft and not a genuine connection. I like how the characters interact, but it would be awful if it were because of witchcraft 😭😭😭 (Obviously it's fiction, but I still have this question, haha)
