Why do foreigners get all the excuses in the world?

First and foremost this isn't bait or hate, but I noticed that whenever international guys like Luka, Jokic, Wemby, Sengun etc. have success they are suddenly the best in the world but when they choke and lose everyone wants to cover it up. They stopped talking about Jokic's loss to the depleted wolves, Wemby choking in the finals not once not twice but three times, Luka always being unhealthy or anything else. When it's an American star like Ant, JB, Mitchell, Harden, Kawhi, LeBron, KD, Deaaron Fox, etc. they have to prove themselves and even that isn't enough they still get blamed for the failures of their foreign teammates who are protected by the media and supposed to be leading the charge
