Avoid Clevrcare if u have other options

Self-Story

My experience at clevercare as an appointment setter

I applied in Clevrcare when I saw it on onlinejobsph, it said no experience for an appointment setter and did not include how much was the pay so I was interested. Months later I was sent an email invitation to their orientation in GMeet where I joined and found it was sketchy at first kc akala ko baka hicdeals ito kc Yung isang ceo nila kamukha or parang same voice sa hicdeals.

They talked about the pay and everything and the pay is 45 pesos per hour for the entire training week even though it was only 2 days of training and that 2 days of training had interruptions because their trainer is their I think parang IT personnel or smtn, since he handles authentication codes that will be requested on a Gmail account which everyone or a lot of people are logged in on, also their dialer has a lot of people logged in on and has constant issues, and he also handles tech issues and questions, basically understaffed. For the week after that, they mentioned they will pay u 65 pesos per hour and will increase per appointment set they say, I was able to set 10+ appointments on training week but my rate was only 60 since sinabihan kami, kung maka 5 appointments kami maka change kami to 60 per hour that week and piso increase per appointment set daw kami but their slides show that only maximum is 25php increase in hourly.

They mentioned maka earn kami ng bonuses so 55 appointments set in a week is +100php, 60 is +200 and so on until 100 only for 1k php. Another bonus is if maka book ka on the same day ng Cx, at the seller from the sales team is able to sell that Cx, u will get 100 php as a bonus per Cx sold and closed that u booked. The only requirements they needed were NBI since to avoid scammers or smtn from what they said, keep in my we didin't sign any contracts or anything even digital contracts or smtn. I decided to proceed because I was more attracted to the appointment setter experience and training than the wage since I had a part time that can give me their weekly wage which was 2400 php in just 1 day for 10 hrs. They told us payment is on every Friday but we will not get paid for training week, only for next week.

I joined their training which was on a GMeet, I learned that their main operations would be on discord and whatsapp. There were a lot of interruptions from other workers and even their team leads (which they call mentors, and they call us as partners not employees) due to some technical difficulties, like their dialer or crm has logged them out so they joined the GMeet to ask for the code from our trainer or if there is a problem like their microphones aren't working. But the environment was pretty casual and chill and not strict, especially cuz I noticed one of my batch mates were literally not dialing for hours during our "nesting" in the last 3 days of the week and had 0 appointments in that week and still managed to be certified and they also have "town hall meetings" which is basically a meeting of everyone every Monday and welcome the new recruits every week where the new recruits will introduce themselves as the other staff just watch and react and then they'll proceed to explaining their TBA which are held every 2 15 mins of ur break and there can be only 1 winner who will get 500 php and from what I've seen it was just people who are close with the ceos or outgoing, also they discuss their weekly review like how many sales were made and appointments set and which team is doing good or bad etc. With the ceos and everyone present.

The whole training process were some discussions from our trainer if I could remember since there were constant interruptions but mostly we read their training guides and listened to some examples most of the time and was given some activity to do and some mock calls on the 2nd day but we were mostly on standby and they require us to open cams during the whole training process.

Skip ahead to nesting or call day, I was hoping to be able to get to talk to a lot of Cx but was only greeted with 80-90% voice mails or not in service numbers. They have est, pst, and cst pero kailangan swerte parin ka. That's when I realised that the appointment set for when I entered their town hall meeting was only 85 or smtn and below was maybe 60 or lower, basically the appointments bonus is hard to reach even though it is for per week. They also gave us a excel sheet timesheet to fill up hour stats weekly and having 5 did not increase my hourly so the piso per appointment is not real i think or not updated or smtn idk. Keep in mind the per hour increase resets every week btw so u will have to work for it again and if ur not lucky enough to find or trick people into getting an appointment or sales its GG.

One of the ceos explained that their company is a performance based and sales company so appointment setting is like some sort of an initiation or a test that's why it's low. Our trainer told us that u will only be an appointment setter for a month or 2 and then they will promote to u to the sales team which is 75 per hour and will increase by 5 if u have 0-2 sales and will be 80 php on 3 sales and so on but will still reset every week. Based on their weekly review at that time I only saw mostly an average of I think 2-4 sales per person since I saw each teams since they mentioned they only have 100+ employees so it's pretty quick to see all the stats. But they do have a lot of incentives which can give u 5k if u have a lot of sales and activations since the company is an AT&T affiliate.

What u do as an appointment setter is just pick a page and send what page u are in in their WhatsApp to avoid having the same people in 1 page or smtn even though I've come across smn actively choosing that page as me and open 5 pages and call them and input ur notes like update the lead caller to be u and date and time etc. Their script says the account of Cx alerted u that they have an expired rate plan and/or devices so a business acocunt specialist will reach out to them. From what a Cx told me they don't lower ur rates if it's already low but try to force u to buy other products like watches or etc.

I chose to resign cuz earning only 10k or below 14k a month is useless and mostly a waste of time in my opinion, so I decided to resign and I asked if I would be able to receive my this Friday, and I was told no render, no pay and the render was 1-2 weeks. So I basically worked and wasted my 1 week for 2400+ php and can't even get it 🫠

I don't have a lot of experience in the work from home and bpo companies since I jusr worked for a small amount of time, is this normal?? I think this is OK if u have no job at the moment and looking for smtn work from home since that's what they tell the newcomers, Maliit siya daw pero mas oke na kesa sa walang trabaho and ganito raw Yung work from home.

Is earning 1 dollar per hour considered slave labor in this economy?
