NEW Matrix 5in1 v2 gyro issue

I got a new Matrix but when I tried to connect to Betaflight I kept getting the same error
“No configuration recieved”

I then flashed BETAFPVG473_V2 firmware which then was able to connect to betaflight but the gyro was not working

In CLI “status” returns
DEVICES DETECTED: SPI=0, I2C=0 (0 errors)
GYRO : None

CONFIG 0xFF
GYRO_CONFIG 0xFF

Full chip erase flashing multiple times

Any ideas or tips please?
