Please help, it’s eating me out

AskDelhi

Im a DU student who moved to Delhi from a small town about 9 months ago, and the whole experience has been pretty overwhelming.

I had a rough start here, got badly sick (ICU-level dengue), had to shift flats once due to issues, and overall it’s been a lot mentally. I’m now in a better flat and finally have some stability and routine.

The problem is my flatmates (they’re in 3rd year) are planning to move out soon. They and the broker have assured me they’ll give a month’s notice and replacements will be found, but I still keep overthinking that something will go wrong and I might suddenly have to leave.

They haven’t actually done anything wrong, but because of past experiences I feel anxious and on edge.

Am I overthinking this? How do you deal with this kind of constant housing insecurity in Delhi?

Update: Talked again to the broker and flatmate, both said replacements will be arranged and proper notice will be given. Still feeling anxious though.
