Is this how cw work ?

If 3 lakh people apply in du .. so we have to compete with only 8 thousand people in cw ? Not 3 lakh ? And 1-5 priority me kitne hote hai ? And if we are from P6 and applying for a less famous course can we get good college at low marks?
