How do I stop blasting my YouTube videos at 1:00 AM?
I recently got a new update on my new Samsung to where now YouTube video don't stop anymore when I stop interacting with the app.
there have been several incidents where I was getting ready to go to bed and I took out my headphones, only for the psychiatry podcast I was watching on YouTube to blast at 100% volume and temporarily wake up my whole house. while I think it is very important to know how to recognize signs of schizophrenia, I don't think my family appreciated this information blasted at that volume at 2:30 AM for the past 2 weeks.
the videos also continue playing immediately after I open my phone, if I happen to leave the app open, even if I paused them. YouTube also just continues playing when I transition into PIP mode, which makes the app 10× harder to close because I have to exit out of the app and then figure out where the PIP mode is gonna show up on my screen and click x while the video is still blasting at full volume on my screen.
I like the PIP screen, because it let's me listen to my podcast while I drive, but I don't like the fact that it makes the app 10× harder to close and so much more embarrassing to have on my phone. I think this might be my last straw... how do I stop YouTube from doing that?
